Prototyping Boards

The following boards are intended to be used for prototyping LED applications. They have been designed by a LED drivers manufacturer. Please note that no guarantee of any sort is provided. The designs are supplied 'as seen' so please review their description/specification to make sure that they will operate properly in your application.

Our Silica Application Engineers have tested these boards in given configurations as listed below, and they can be demonstrated to potential users on request.

These boards are not protected by any design rights. They may be duplicated without any prior authorization from these manufacturers. Gerber files, schematics and Bill Of Materials are provided free of charge.

This  P7 LED driver board (Designed by STMicroelectronics) provides 2,8 Amps constant current to drive a serially connected string of P7 LEDS. DC Input voltage from 8 to 18Volts. Output voltage from 2,5 to 14Volts (up to 4 P7 assuming an imput voltage of 18Volts). Dimming input capability. Selectable output current (1A, 1.5A & 2.8A) makes it applicable to other Seoul LED types such as Z Power P4 series.

It do not included any P7 units on-board.

Targetted for residential or street light type applications.

This LED driver board (Designed by  Texas Instruments) contains three  TPS62260 2.25MHz 600mA step-down voltage converters and one MSP430F2131 microcontroller. Each TPS62260 applies power to one of the high brightness LEDs (red, green and blue) included in the F50360 LED package. The MSP430F2131 controls the output current of the three converters individually. It also includes a DMX receiver.
Holes are included on this EVM to accept Carclo P5-II lenses.

MSP430F2131 S/W is available on request
